About

The Way Home is made from oral history interviews conducted by the Hackney Housing Oral History project in 2011 with people who live or have lived in Hackney. These interviews are currently being archived at Hackney Museum. The project is in partnership with Hackney Housing Group which works to achieve good housing for its members and is part of the London Coalition Against Poverty.

The Hackney Housing Oral History Project aims to investigate and share personal and collective attempts to make housing better in the past. By doing this we hope to start conversations about what can be done to solve housing problems experienced today. The project continues and we plan to make a website to show more of the collection. In the meanwhile, we can be contacted at: voices.of.hackney@googlemail.com

The music used in the walk was kindly donated by Tom Rogerson who is a musician, composer, and part of  Three Trapped Tigers.

The Way Home was created as part of an MA in Heritage Studies at University of East London.
